DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Supervisor Title:
Hospital CEO
POSITION GOAL
To manage the Hospital Rehabilitation Department in the
most efficient manner as possible.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Front Desk and Staff day to day operations
Responsible for ensuring that quality patient care is being provided and
to
make sure that all physicians needs are being met.
Fiduciary responsibility to run department as efficiently and as
effectively
as possible.
Aids in formulating and administering policies and developing long-range
goals and objectives for Rehabilitation services.
Coordinates and directs the rehabilitation activities at hospital in
sup****t
of policies, goals and objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize effective communication skills (written and verbal) interacting
with
co-workers, other hospital employees, supervisors, and outside vendors.
Promote Hospitals role in the community by greeting and interacting with
all patients, families, visitors, vendors, and guests in a courteous and
respectful manner.
Provides sup****t or relief for other staff as needed.
Demonstrates confidentiality in all aspects to include both patient and
non-patient issues.
Reflect Hospital values and is sensitive to Hospitals ethical and
compliance principals in his/her daily activities.
Promote resolution of concerns and conflict by routing through correct
mechanism or resolving the situation.
Able to prioritize daily functions/tasks
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Display a willingness to put forth effort in problem solving
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Essential Functions: Lift and carry 50 pounds, move patients and
equipment,
leader****p ability
Marginal Functions: Reach for and manipulate equipment and patients,
visual
acuity, hearing and speaking
Accommodations: Normal office equipment
Environmental Factors: General medical hospital environment.  OSHA
Category: I
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 4 years experience as PT , 2 years of supervisory experience
Education: BS in PT , MS is preferred, appropriate continuing education
courses
Special Qualifications: Current AL license in PT, CPR certification
Outside Relation****p: Maintain excellent working relation****p with
physicians
who refer patients for therapy and other hospital administration.
Interaction With Other Departments: All Hospital departments
Budget: Prepare and administer the annual department budget
Assets Controlled: Therapy supplies, equipment and facility
Employees Supervised: Staff PTs, Staff OTs, PTAs, COTAs, PT Aides, OT
Aides, Office coordinator, Front desk staff, PRN and EMG personnel
