JOB TITLE: Manager

DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a locally owned accounting firm tailors traditional
accounting,
auditing and tax services, as well as many other nontraditional services
to its
clients. With over 250 professionals, they service the areas of: banking,
construction, healthcare, public companies, technology, real estate,
retail,
manufacturing/distribution, and not-for-profit companies. The client has
an
op****tunity for a seasoned Manager for their Birmingham, Alabama Cor****ate
Office focusing on tax. In this role the Manager will be responsible for
providing direction and development to their assigned staff members.
Managers
should posses the qualities which make them potential future Senior
Managers of
the Firm.
Champion training and development initiatives for all assigned staff
members.
Provide client satisfaction and service.
Lead and develop Supervisors and Senior Accountants.
Execute the firms goals by relying on personal skill sets and experience.
Demonstrate commitment to the Firm, integrity, professional image, and
enjoyment of work.
Candidate Background
Qualifications and experience required in the successful candidate include
the
following:
Minimum of 5 years as a Manager in a public firm or in a private sector
which
mirrors the clients current structure.
Licensed CPA for the State of Alabama or must be able to sit for the exam
if
not currently licensed.
Proficient PC skills, strong analytical skills, very resourceful and
effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Must possess strong organizational and administrative skills. Self
motivated
and driven to execute
Must posses a history of commitment to the profession and should
demonstrate
the qualities necessary for a future officer of the Firm.
MANDATORY EDUCATION: Bachelor
