DB2 Application DBA
Work closely with DB2 System DBA to install DB2, apply latest
fixpacks, create database, perform database upgrades Provide data
input to the System DBA for creating table spaces Maintain DB2
Variable values (registry values, environment values, configuration
parameters Provide capacity projections to the System DBA Create
tables, indexes, views and other database objects Define schemas,
users and security policies Perform Ex****ts/Im****ts/Loads of data
Monitor DB2 processes and logs for any anomalies, provide corrective
actions Assist with SQL scripts needed for the installed applications,
create and maintain shell scripts to automate tasks Perform DB2
tuning, including optimizing complex SQL statements, for best possible
performance of installed applications Provide assistance to developers
for resolving technical DB2 issues, do***ent and implement DB2 best
practices on AIX Interface with business analysts & developers with
regards to application, logical & physical database design, create and
maintain logical entity relation****p diagrams, transform logical
models into physical data models
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in DB2 database administration, sup****ting
large databases ( upwards of 1 TB ) 3+ years of experience with DB2
EEE and partitioned databases 3+ years of application development
experience involving DB2 3+ years hands on AIX experience 3+ years of
experience or participation in large-scale enterprise application
implementations 3+ years hands on performance monitoring tools and
extensive experience in large-scale database performance tuning
required Supply chain management applications related experience is
preferable
