Description Ensures customers have a satisfying service experience.
Responsible for receiving a high volume of incoming orders via telephone
and fax, inputting order details accurately into a complex business system
(SAP), researching customer requests, and following-up in a timely manner.
Routinely responds to inquires from customers regarding: product
availability & status, pricing, ****pping, invoices, credits, returns,
literature requests, proof of deliveries, terms of contracts, BD policies
& procedures, order status, current marketing promotions, and sample
requests. Communicates across a large cross-section of customers, as well
as, communicating internally with Sales, Operations, Logistics, and other
functions. Expected to positively contribute to a team environment and
provide backup sup****t / coverage when necessary. May assist from time to
time with general administrative duties.
Qualifications * Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or
call center experience. * A professional phone demeanor is a key
requirement. Specifically, must have demonstrated experience applying
active listening techniques, conveying respect, professionalism and
empathy. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. * A
demonstrated ability navigating database systems is required. * Requires
strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when processing
order information. * Prior SAP experience is preferred. * Must be able to
work well within a team environment. * A High School diploma or equivalent
is required. College coursework in the life sciences is preferred.
