Description: The primary function of this position is to assist in the
implementation of projects for the Inventory and Configurator teams and to
sup****t the business and other IT teams in implementing SunGards IT
strategy.
Oversee a team of functional and development analysts to implement code
through the complete software development life cycle.
Manage the gathering and writing of requirements from Business Users.
Manage the development of code for each release.
Responsible for coordinating testing with the Quality Assurance Team and
Business users.
Responsible for ensuring that all SunGard software development life
cycle methodologies are followed by the team.
Manage change requests and production sup****t issues for the team.
Responsible for assigning functional and development tasks to all team
members.
Responsible for reviewing team do***entation and ensuring it is reviewed
by IT and business reviewers.
Prepare management re****ts including weekly status re****ts, etc.
Provide team members with technical assistance in matters related to
Oracle Inventory, Bills of Material and Discoverer Re****ts.
Responsible for prioritizing tasks within the team utilizing input from
the business users and IT management.
Participate in and prepare presentations to Business Users and IT
Management.
Responsible for overseeing the development of Oracle Discoverer re****ts.
Manage the development of PLSQL queries to sup****t Oracle Inventory,
Bills of Material and Configurator.
Participate in the design and review of proposed technical solutions.
Identify gaps between requirements and available technical
functionality.
Work cross-functionally with the Configurator and other IT teams.
Collaborate with the testing team to develop acceptance test criteria.
Collaborate with the business users to execute acceptance tests to
confirm Oracle functionality.
Create and maintain methodology do***entation.
Manage Oracle Inventory application setups.
Provide consultation to project stakeholders on design alternatives.
Facilitate meetings; prepare meeting minutes; manage issues.
College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement
of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
Bachelors Degree in a business or computer related area or equivalent.
Five or more years of Functional and Technical experience of Oracle
Applications.
Three or more years leading a software development team through the
software development life cycle.
At least two years experience managing a team of up to five people.
Ability to manage a team including assigning and prioritizing tasks,
monitoring progress and maintaining schedules.
Project Management experience a plus.
Experience providing production sup****t and resolving critical issues
expeditiously.
Knowledge of Oracle 11i Application including Oracle Inventory Bills of
Material.
Knowledge of Oracle Configurator, Order Management and Install Base a
plus.
Knowledge of the Oracle Schema for INV, BOM and ONT a plus.
Knowledge of TOAD or SQL Developer.
Ability to write PLSQL queries and PL/SQL procedures.
Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools such as Mercury.
Knowledge of Oracle AIM methodology or equivalent and ability to write
and maintain do***entation including BR030a, BR100s, MD050s, MD070s and
MD120s.
Knowledge of Oracle Discoverer a plus.
Ability to gather requirements and write requirements do***ents.
Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
Ability to effectively manage time including prioritization and focusing
on critical tasks.
Experience with Project Management tools a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with business users and IT management
during the entire software development life cycle.
Ability to work with several cross functional IT teams.
Ability to work autonomously and multi task, proactively, under time
pressure.
Ability to multitask in a highly technical and fast paced environment.
