Senior Oracle Database Programmer
As a Senior Oracle Database Programmer, use your technical skills to
design and maintain large-scale Oracle database applications, UNIX
shell scripts and advanced planning engines. As an integral part of
our team you will work with functional analysts to identify business
improvements, design and implement changes, and chart our technical
direction. In addition to being exposed to all manufacturing planning,
you will have the op****tunity to learn all phases of our system
development life cycle. Use your experience to challenge solutions,
monitor progress, and *****s impacts of system problems.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, implement and sup****t complex Oracle PL/SQL programs
* Maintain and develop shell scripts for executing mission critical
jobs * Work with our DBA group to design and validate our critical
databases * Prepare do***entation of all procedures used in the system
* Effectively communicate status updates to project team and all
levels of management
Requirements
* B.S. degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of
experience, OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience. Computer
Science degrees preferred * Must display progressive, stable database
development experience in a large-scale enterprise production
sup****t / development environment * Oracle RDBMS 9i and/or 10g
development and administration experience on UNIX platforms * At least
3 years programming experience in Oracle PL/SQL including writing
stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages * Knowledge of
advanced Oracle concepts, such as: Performance Tuning, Query
Optimization, Materialized Views, Scalability, Parallelism;
Partitioning * UNIX shell scripting experience * Knowledge of J2EE web
programming, DBA experience, i2 APS, ERP, and semiconductor
manufacturing is a plus * Ability to manage multiple issues and set
correct priorities * Clear communication with strong team building and
project management skills
