Sr. Oracle Applications DBA
Looking for an individual who is highly motivated, self-starter,
capable of working with minimal direction. You must also be a true
team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Troubleshoot Oracle Applications technical problems -Install,
configure and cloning of various Oracle Applications development,
testing and production environments -Perform Oracle Applications
upgrades, apply maintenance packs and patches -Maintaining/
Synchronizing Oracle Applications with a Physical Standby database in
place -Database Failover/Switchover in a DataGuard environment -
Resource Monitoring and performance tuning of Oracle Applications -
Identify Oracle Applications potential problems and improvements -
Provide capacity planning for the Oracle Applications -Manage change
control of Oracle Application from Development, to Testing and
Production -Plans and coordinates application/tools changes,
installation of upgrades, patches and new versions, interacting with
DBA group and Infrastructure teams. -Act as Primary DBA -Handle Oracle
Technical Assistance Requests/Service Requests -Configuring High
Availability and business continuity with E-Business suite -Work
closely with functional end users and development team to sup****t
implemented Oracle Applications, Development Tools, and 3rd party
solutions. -Provide on-call sup****t.
Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in managing Oracle Applications Release 11i
(or previous versions) on Unix/Linux platforms -5+ years of experience
in Oracle database administration, experience with Oracle 8i/9i/10g. -
Experience in Configuration Management and Change Control from
Development to Testing and Production environment. -Experience in
backup and recovery strategies and RMAN tools. -Experience in
maintaining Oracle Applications in a Standby environment. -Experience
in an Oracle RAC environment ? a plus -Willing to work in flexible
hours and working environments. -Oracle certifications - a plus -Linux
certifications - a plus -Experience with a Single Sign On
environment ? a plus -Implement security roles and manage user
accounts in the Oracle Applications ? a plus -Shell scripting, PL/SQL,
Triggers, Stored Procedures Coding proficiency -Oracle 9iAS/10gAS,
Discoverer Administration -Familiar with Concurrent Manager, Re****ts
Server, Jinitiator, Forms Server and/or Re****ts Server -Knowledgeable
of the Oracle Applications underlying architecture -Experience with
3rd party s/w tools ?Toad - Ability to initiate a project and follow
it through to conclusion. -BS degree in Computer Science -Should
possess ability to identify and resolve performance issues with Oracle
Applications technology stack. -Team player who has customer focus and
brings expertise to the team. -Strong Analytical and troubleshooting
skills. -Ability to work effectively in a fast paced implementation
environment.
