Sybase / Perl Developer
Responsibilities include:
* Design, develop, implement and maintain finance data warehouse *
Develop using Sybase/Perl (create tables, triggers, stored procedures,
scripting, ETL, exception and error handling) * Develop modularized,
reusable systems with product-based approach. * Adhere to all in-house
development standards * Liaise directly with business users where
necessary to gather requirements * Assist in the development of
presentation layer including process automation * Provide lights on
sup****t for bug fixes and enhancements * Create and maintain process
flow do***ents, FAQ's, run-book * Implement performance tuning
techniques to speed up processes and manage volume effectively
Skills and Qualifications:
* In-depth knowledge (3-5 years) designing, developing and
implementing Sybase applications (T-SQL, stored procedure development,
data modeling concepts and tools). * Experience programming in Perl, K-
Shell, or other unix scripting languages * Familiar with Data
Warehouse/Data Mart concepts & design. * Strong analytical &
communication skills, both written and oral. The ideal candidate
willinteract with both business & technical staff at various levels
within the organization. * Self-motivated with the ability to work
independently and as part of a team. * Establish strong partner****ps
with users, development team and other technology groups.
