ORACLE PRINCIPAL ERP DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Principal Database Administrator will provide sup****t to the ongoing
ARMS ERP system operations as well as new projects. ARMS ERP system
runs Oracle eBusiness suite 11.5.10.2 with Oracle database 9i / 10 RAC
environment. Administration of Oracle Applications, Remedy and various
other database applications. Install upgrade and configure database
application software. Monitor capacity and performance, and
proactively resolve a wide variety of issues. Assist in defining
standards and strategies for security, database objects, and backup/
recovery. Manage Oracle backups through RMAN and CommVault. Implement,
upgrade and sup****t development, test and production Oracle E-Business
Suite instances. Some after hours work and on-call. Assist in defining
standards and strategies for security, database objects, and backup/
recovery.
Required Skills
Oracle Database 9i/10g RAC administration Oracle ebusiness Suite
11.5.10.2 administration Oracle applications 11.5.10.2 patching,
install, maintain and upgrade Understand SAN storage connectivity.
Performance tuning of oracle 9i/10g databases. Good understanding of
Linux operating system to be able to sup****t Oracle databases running
on the Linux servers Oracle Applications Cloning RMAN backup restore
utility
Required Experience
Working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i. At least 2 years of
experience as an Oracle applications (11i - 11.5.10) administrator and
5 years as an Oracle Database administrator (9i/10g.) Well versed with
patching, cloning, diagnosing, configuring and maintaining oracle
applications using AD utilities and other system administration tools.
Experience with installation and configuration of Oracle Discoverer
and ADI. Must have a strong understanding of complex application
environments. Knowledge of Oracle Parallel concurrent processing and
failover, SSL, Oracle 9iLite, Oracle 9iAS, OID and SSO required.
Install, upgrade and configure database system software. Experience
with Oracle RMAN and resolving service requests through Metalink and
online working sessions is a must. Must be available for some after
hours work and on-call sup****t.
