Senior PeopleSoft Oracle DBA
Position Description: The Senior PeopleSoft Oracle DBA is responsible
for managing and administering the enterprise database platforms and
sup****ting application services in a 24x7 production environment. The
core application services are PeopleSoft-based packages. The DBA will
provide logistical sup****t, monitoring, maintenance, and management of
all enterprise server tiers. In a secondary capacity, additional
technical and functional contributions may be required in sup****t of
the business systems.
Minimum Requirements
Education: College Degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science).
Experience: Four years practical experience administering PeopleSoft
ERP systems. Candidate must demonstrate a high level of proficiency
in: PeopleSoft system upgrades, patching, & installations. PeopleSoft
system administration. Production environment sup****t &
troubleshooting. Four years practical experience administering Oracle
databases, experience with 10g and above preferred. Candidate must
demonstrate a high level of proficiency in: Database & instance tuning
and performance optimization. SQL/index application tuning. Back up
and recovery. Database development and normalization. Job/task
scheduling & scripting. Production environment sup****t &
troubleshooting. Database cloning and refre****ng. Four years practical
experience working on Linux or UNIX platforms and Windows servers.
Basic O/S system administration is required, with a sufficient level
of proficiency in file system operations, shell scripting, security,
etc. Experience managing PeopleSoft software & configuration on
database, application, web, PS re****t/batch, and file servers. Skills
& Knowledge: Database administration, maintenance, & design, and
enterprise-oriented solutions. Proficiency in Linux/UNIX shell
scripting & Windows batch scripting is required.
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual. A
proactive approach is required for this position. Willingness and
ability to operate in several different technical disciplines is a
must.
Occasional evening work, and rotational 24x7 sup****t are required.
