Sr. Database Administrator
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Monitors performance of databases and database servers after
implementation. *Install, configure and upgrade database servers.
*Plans and performs database migrations. *Creates and monitors
database backups. *Design and execution of Disaster Recovery failover
and cutback plan on databases *Designs the Security Administration
model for databases. *Designs and implements data replication.
*Designs, implement and monitor stored procedures. *Creates and
follows change control procedures and do***ents new database
applications and changes to existing environment. *Develops and
executes software validation protocols and re****ts. *Provides
technical assistance to users regarding databases. *Do***ents database
environment and architecture. *Stays abreast of emerging technologies
and makes strategic recommendations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
*Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related and 5+ yrs relevant
DBA experience.
*Knowledge of MS SQL server and Oracle DBMS:
1.REQUIRED: MS SQL Server (7, 2000, 2005 or higher), Query Analyzer,
TSQL, DTS, SSIS 2.HELPFUL: Oracle DBMS (8i, 9i, 10g or higher), PL-
SQL, SQL Plus
