Senior Software Engineer
Essential Duties:
* Develops J2EE applications, along side other core members of the
software engineering team. * Primarily responsible for enhancing
current functionality and developing new functionality, based on
current and future needs. * Coordinates with QA to discover and
resolve defects. * Authors and maintains technical specifications. *
Works closely with engineers to deliver defect-free energy information
software to the entire organization. * Performs other duties as
required.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:
* 5-10 years of experience developing commercial software, with some
experience developing J2EE Applications. * B.S. Computer Science,
Software Engineering, or related technical field. * Experience with
J2EE Application Servers. * Experience with Java, EJB, JSP, and
JavaScript. * Must possess outstanding written and verbal
communication skills in English. * Experienced in the production of
thorough do***entation. * Ability to prioritize developmental and
operational tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment. * Ability
to work within changing deadlines/priorities. * Ability to work in a
team setting as well as independently.
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Education:
* Experience using Ant, Eclipse, JBoss, Facelets, and JSF. *
Experience with any of the following: ****tlets, AJAX, Cognos
Re****tNet, EJB 3, Oracle, Hibernate and UNIX. * Knowledge and
understanding of the energy market/domain, including the business
needs of end-users.
