Senior Software QA Test Engineer
Seeking a Senior Software QA Test Engineer to join the team. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for test, verification and quality
assurance of the software applications developed by the Broadcast
Software Systems organization. These applications include the traffic
and scheduling system, content management system, and other broadcast
engineering software applications. Duties include requirements
analysis to generate test plans and detailed test procedures,
executing tests, validating requirements and do***enting test results.
Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and do***enting software
defects, and working with the software development team to
troubleshoot and resolve any software issues. Duties may also include
defining and developing software test tools and simulators as
necessary.
A BS degree in computer science or related engineering field is
required, with 5 to 10 years practical experience in software
development and/or software test/quality assurance engineering.
Background should include a working knowledge of object-oriented
analysis and design methodologies, and multi-threaded software
applications running on a UNIX and/or LINUX environment. Experience
developing and executing automated test scripts using Mercury Quick
Test Professional (QTP) is desired. Some experience developing
software applications using Java, C/C++, Java, SQL, JSP, DHTML and XML
is preferred. Configuration management and revision control using CVS
a plus. Must be capable of working successfully in a deadline-driven,
team-oriented environment. Also must be able to work on a computer
keyboard for long periods of time. Candidates should possess excellent
written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical
abilities, with good planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.
