Peoplesoft Administrator
DESCRIPTION:
This position has responsibility for sup****ting the PeopleSoft
applications, servers, databases and security.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* PeopleSoft application administration: Perform project migrations,
manage and troubleshoot Peoplesoft infrastructure including
application servers, web/PIA services, process schedulers, nVision
etc. running on PeopleTools 8.4+ and PeopleSoft Applications 8.8+.
Knowledge of FMS 8.8 and/or CRM 8.8 and/or HCM 8.8 a plus. * Windows
Server Administration: Ability to troubleshoot and administer
PeopleSoft applications running on Windows 2000/2003 Server Platform.
* Implementation and upgrades: Practical knowledge of Upgrade
Assistant, Change Assistant and PeopleSoft Patching and Upgrade
methodologies for application and tools upgrades. Implementation
experience is a plus. Potential growth for candidate in newer
Microsoft and PeopleSoft technologies (e.g. Windows 2003, PeopleSoft
8.9, Tools 8.48+, SQL Server 2005, Virtual Server Technology as well
as other non PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications). * Security
administration: Working knowledge of PeopleSoft application security
including maintenance of roles, permission lists, trees and row level
security. * Database administration duties: Lightweight administration
includes database backup, restore (refreshes), SQL language, granting
user access, monitoring database and server health. SQL Server and/or
Oracle.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
? BS degree (Math, Engineering, CS, CIS, etc.) or equivalent
experience in database management and administration, application
design and development with knowledge of PeopleSoft (PS) PeopleTools,
PS PeopleCode, MS Windows 2000, MS SQL Server 2000, BEA WebLogic,
PSAdmin.
? 2+ years experience with complex databases. Includes experience with
SQL syntax. SQL Server administration is a plus.
? 3+ years experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting
PeopleSoft applications and databases.
? Ability to analyze technical and functional aspects of a program and
troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues.
? Ability to communicate technical information in layman?s
terminology.
? Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and manage multiple and
changing priorities.
? Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a high
quality of work.
? Ability to plan and organize work and follow prescribed standards
and procedures.
? Self-starter.
