Siebel Administrator
Responsibilities
=B7 Candidate will be analyzing, setting up, monitoring, and auditing
required measures to ensure application availability. The candidate
will also be coordinating/conducting server patch installation,
participating in releasing new changes to production (DEV-to-QA-to-
PROD process), pro-actively managing performance changes to
configuration files, configuration of new object managers, and
proactively planning Siebel Architecture sizing. =B7 Additional tasks
include running database scripts for Siebel Tools Repository
Management, scheduling and running Siebel server processes, and system
admin tasks such as creating initial user and developer accounts,
maintaining users, setting system parameters. =B7 Build and manage the
Siebel infrastructure (i.e. servers, environments, etc) for all
development, test, production, training, and disaster recovery
environments =B7 Troubleshooting any network/server related issues and
identifying tasks for ongoing and future sup****t. =B7 Utilize Siebel
Administrative screens to administer Users, Positions, &
Responsibilities; Preferences and Pre-defined queries; Correspondence
Templates and Data Maps; List of Values =B7 Initiate and Monitor Server
processes such as: EIM, Workflows, Communications Manager =B7 Create and
administer Siebel Smartscripts =B7 Provide Level 3 Development/Test/
Production Environment sup****t =B7 Create and/or update Technical
Do***entation =B7 Siebel Re****t server administration and Deployment of
new re****ts on to re****t server. Proactively review upcoming patches
and releases to *****s system risk and impact to current installation
of Siebel. =B7 Sup****t production and application build environments =B7
Troubleshoot daily issues and conduct weekly maintenance in the
production environment; Troubleshoot individual components when not
running; server memory issues; file system errors; issues with web
server and browser scripts. =B7 Participate in on call sup****t of Siebel
servers
Qualifications and Requirements Qualifications and Requirements
=B7 5+ years work experience in Siebel Administration, particularly in
Siebel version 7.5 and above in Windows based environments =B7 Excellent
knowledge of Siebel Enterprise architecture (Siebel Call Center is
preferred) =B7 Must have experience installing, configuring and tuning
Siebel Server, Siebel Gateway, Siebel Web =B7 Candidate must have
excellent interpersonal skills. Experience working with Big-5.
Experience with offshore development methodology with big-5. =B7
Understanding of the im****tance of structured, controlled production
environment, and have excellent written and verbal skills to
communicate procedures and mentor personnel. =B7 Familiarity with Siebel
sup****t process and submitting Siebel Service Requests =B7 Some
familiarity with web based application architecture Experience working
with and diagnosing problems on Windows Servers (CPU issues, memory
issues, disk issues, event logs, services) =B7 Siebel 7 Certification a
plus. =B7 Candidate must be self-motivated, assertive while possessing
the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced
team environment. Strong analytical ability for complex problem
solving. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Detail
oriented with good organizational skills. =B7 Experience with Monitoring
tools and database skills (SQL Server a plus). =B7 J2EE experience a
plus =B7 University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or
equivalent industry experience
