Quality Assurance Engineer
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for testing and assuring
the stability and reliability of Avid products. Participates in the
entire software development process and product life cycle, from
planning and scheduling through release to manufacturing. Designs and
executes tests that complement each phase of the project, providing
feedback, escalating issues, and sup****ting all participants involved
in the product development process.
Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
field and a minimum of 2 years of QA experience -Must have working
knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Java. -Good understanding
of Quality Assurance processes and product life cycle. -Experience
with Rational Clearquest and Mercury Quality Center is a plus. -Strong
initiative, owner****p, and teamwork skills. -Excellent communication
and writing skills. -Knowledge of the Television Broadcasting industry
and news production is a plus.
Responsibilities: -Participate in the entire software development
process and testing cycle. -Work from requirements definition phase
and develop detailed test strategy and test plans for software
releases. -Review product requirements, functional specifications, and
design specifications to create comprehensive test cases for achieving
high levels of test coverage. -Create and execute test designs and
test cases that adequately test the functionality, compatibility,
operability, and interoperability of a software application. -Re****t
and track software and hardware problems and verify bug fixes.
