Sr. Software Engineer - Java/XML
Skills
* Required - Java, XML, XSLT, Web Services (SOAP), SQL * Experience
with the following a plus: HTML, JSP, SOA, J2EE
Qualifications
* 5+ years experience working extensively with Java and XML,
preferably in a Linux environment * Experience working with Apache/
Tomcat and writing shell-scripts * Experience with design and
implementation of large object-oriented applications * Experience with
relational databases, MySQL and JDBC * Hands-on developer with strong
debugging skills, and able to quickly learn new technologies * Solid
understanding of scalability and optimization techniques * Ability to
use sound judgment to develop effective solutions from loosely stated
requirements * Intense attention to detail - should be able to
effectively QA own work product to make sure that warehouse data is
complete and accurate * Ability to work in a collaborative, start-up
environment on interesting problems
Desired Skills
* Experience with the design and implementation of content management
systems (CMS) highly desirable * Experience working with SOAP, JSP,
XSLT, and/or XML Schema design desirable * Previous work with Eclipse
IDE, JUnit, Log4J * Experience using Design Patterns and UML *
Proficiency with Perl a plus * Open Source development experience
