Database Administrator
Job description: The Database Administrator will be a member of the
Technical & Analytical Services group in IT Enterprise Systems. This
person will be responsible for helping provide sup****t and maintenance
for Oracle databases and services of our enterprise application
platform. The successful candidate must work closely with other IT
teams, application development and business groups to understand
functionality, scalability, performance, disaster/recovery and
security requirements from the database perspective.
Qualifications:
- Sup****t and maintain Oracle database systems. - Perform Oracle
relational database design, installation, configuration and patch
upgrade. - Proactively monitor databases to ensure minimum downtime. -
Work closely with application development groups to analyze and
troubleshoot database performance and capacity issues. - Responsible
for implementation and release of database changes. - Assist
developers with database requirement gathering, load testing and
capacity planning. - Create scripts to automate database backup,
refresh and other maintenance functions. - Assist in development of
application re****ts using third-party re****ting tools such as Crystal
Re****ts. - Work closely with system admin and storage group concerning
system resource usage and allocation, system backups and system
performance.
