Description: Requirements:
BS - Engineering, 3 years experience and a background of driving new
products from R&D through manufacturing, managing projects in
manufacturing environment including lean manufacturing; automated
mechanical assembly and electro-mechanical assembly involving printed
circuit boards bought from vendors.
Experience in troubleshooting PCBA assembly defects and process
improvements and standard cost systems experience would be considered a
plus.
Job Duties:
Essentially will be assigned to one plant but will also manage projects at
two other local facilities. Take a product from its original design concept
through manufacturing to its ultimate launch into the marketplace. Will be
involved in the process from beginning to end - focusing on the
manufacturing aspects of new product development, including Design for
Manufacturing, Process conception and implementation, Facilitation of
production, establi****ng and meeting quality and manufacturing cost goals
and continuous improvement activities.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. - Analyzes and
plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and
designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. -
Confers with planning & design staff concerning product design and tooling
to ensure efficient production methods. - Confers with suppliers to
determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment,
materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications
and quality standards. - Estimates production times, staffing
requirements, and related costs to provide information for management
decisions. - Confers with management, engineering, and other staff
regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other
considerations to facilitate production processes. - Applies statistical
methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
