Description: Responsibilities:
• Sup****t Project Management in design efforts for project
implementation phase.
• Direct Engineering disciplines, both internal and external, in all
areas pertinent to project
engineering design.
• Provide design sup****t to sales department to assist in taking
prospective projects through the
sales process and for evaluating potential project feasibility.
• Build cost estimates for prospective projects and for ongoing
projects as needed.
• Direct engineering disciplines to evaluate prospective
clients’ sites to determine prospective
project feasibility.
• Author contractor scopes of work in accordance with client
requirements, generally accepted
engineering principles, NEC requirements, building codes, company policy,
and profitability
status.
• Provide training to engineering personnel in order to maintain or
build knowledge base to
carry out design efforts efficiently and effectively.
• Manage sales sup****t and project engineering workloads and
generate weekly work schedules
for implementing site visits and prospective project preliminary design
efforts.
• Develop and maintain departmental procedures.
• Develop and maintain engineering do***ent repository
• Manage development and completion of as-built drawing packages and
operations &
maintenance manuals.
This position requires on-site investigation of existing facilities for
the purpose of installing
electrical generating equipment. Such investigation often requires
accessing areas in buildings not
intended for regular personnel passage including rooftops and electrical
equipment facilities.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Structural, Civil or Mechanical)
Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant construction-industry experience.
• Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
Skills:
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding
capabilities in:
• Proven understanding of the requirements of multiple engineering
disciplines.
• Strong construction background.
• Local code and permitting requirements.
• Experience with quality assurance guidelines and systems and
engineering best practices.
• Rigorous, data-driven approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work in a rapidly growing, fast-paced work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated strength working in multi-disciplinary engineering
teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with photovoltaic power systems.
• Experience in electrical power generation/distribution
engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong leader****p and motivational skills.
