& RELIABILITY ENGINEER II Employment Status: Full Time Division: JLG
Location: Hagerstown Job Description: Primarily assist in departmental
responsibilities with regard to product safety and reliability on new
products. Assist in matters concerning previously manufactured/field
products, product related legal proceedings, and Government/Trade
Association matters, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
Product Safety and Reliability
Participate in and monitor design reviews, engineering procedures,
stability calculations/tests, structural calculations/tests, and
decal/placard installations for new products.
Attend, participate in, and monitor the IPD Teams meetings.
Interact with component vendors regarding component specificaitons,
performance and reliability.
Attend, participate in, and monitor Engineering Release meetings and other
meetings that concern new products.
Participate in reviewing new products with regard to standards compliance.
Represent company in Government/Trade Association matters such as OSHA,
CSA, EMI, ANSI, etc., as assigned.
Initiate interaction with Engineering and other company departments on all
matters of product safety and reliability, as assigned.
Interact with Customer Assurance and other company departments regarding
inquiries from distributors and/or machine owners/users concerning machine
application, repairs, etc., as assigned.
Product Litigation
Assist in the preparation of company defense information for product
litigations, including interaction with other company departments and
outside entities assisting in the company defense.
Assist on other specific programs required in the course of departmental
operation, as assigned by the department head.
RE****TING RELATION****PS (SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES)
This position re****ts to the Product Safety and Reliability Engineer III.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements
listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering (equivalent
experience in lieu of degree will be considered).
Two (2) to three (3) years of related Engineering experience preferred (in
addition to the above).
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Effective communication skills.
Innovative and dynamic personal characteristics, good personal appearance.
