Description: The Provisioning Circuit Design Engineer I is responsible
to provide a single point of contact for the circuit design of network
services for our subscribers from local and inter-exchange carriers.
He/She will ensure network services being procured meet the needs of the
applications. He/She will develop and maintain databases as a centralized
resource for all procured network services for internal & external SAS
customers.
Responsibilities:
• Provide a single point of contact for the procurement of network
services from local and inter-exchange carriers and ensure network
services being procured meet the application needs of the subscriber
• Create and Issue LOA/CFA do***ents to our subscribers
• Process Circuit Quotes from Sales
• Provide technical and design sup****t for Sales
• Capacity Planning/Augmentation
• Circuit/Equipment Inventory Management
• Design Reviews
• Project Management
• Maintain centralized database to track circuit inventory
• Ensure with carriers that all applicable discounts are being supplied to
SunGard telecommunication services
• Provide sup****t and assistance to customers ensuring requirements are
met at time of procurement
• Address customer satisfaction issues in a timely manner and ensure their
satisfaction through the delivery of Legendary Service
Nature and Scope:
The Provisioning Circuit Design Engineer I works cohesively with all
departments to promote teamwork and ensure customer satisfaction through
the delivery of Legendary Service. In order to be effective, He/She must
possess strong technical, leader****p, and organization abilities.
This position will have substantial interaction with SunGard subscribers
requiring strong customer service and communications skills (written and
oral). He/She must exhibit solid judgment and decision-making abilities
when dealing with sensitive situations and service related issues.
• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement
of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum three years industry experience in the areas of circuit
provisioning and design.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and service delivery skills
are required.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are required.
• Strong computer skills to develop, refine, and maintain
telecommunications databases are required.
• Extensive knowledge of telco processes (quotes, ordering, installation
and maintenance) is required.
• Broad knowledge of major carrier product and service offerings is
required.
• Knowledge of voice, data and video communication is required.
• Experience escalating problems and work order requests through vendors
is required.
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent skills developed through
industry experience is required.
• Proven leader****p skills in a fast paced work environment is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities is required.
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as,
independently is required.
