Database Administrator
Duties include:
** Design and implement data models. Develop new or maintain existing
databases based on specifications. Develop database functions,
procedures, triggers, indexes and SQL scripts for efficiency and easy
maintenance of code and routine maintenance.
** Install and maintain database software. Ensure database security
and recovery controls are in place.
** Maintain test server and manage data from test to production.
Maintain servers to ensure they remain in sync regarding releases and
versions.
** Monitor database for errors and performance problems. Manage
security of database structures and cor****ate data held within
databases.
** Manage back up and recovery of databases.
** Provide timely sup****t of database by responding quickly and
effectively to production and development issues assuming
responsibility for identifying and resolving issues. These issues will
include resolving database performance issues, database capacity
issues and any other issues relating to database performance.
** Provide monthly re****ting to management via Access, Crystal
re****ting and SQL. Monitor Clarity extracts to ensure that data is
ex****ted accurately and in a timely manner.
** Work with quality management team and clinical leaders to provide
effective and timely re****ting for clinical/quality use.
** Provide guidance and technical sup****t to users regarding Clarity
and other re****ting software. QA any re****t written by other
departments or external customers prior to moving to the production
server.
** Create and modify re****ts as requested from users. Perform
appropriate data tests to ensure the accuracy of data based on the
specifications.
** Become an expert on the Clarity re****ting package of EPIC.
Participate in training cl***** at EPIC, and obtain and maintain
certification on Clarity.
Education: ** Bachelor**s Degree or equivalent professional experience
required.
