Database Administrator (DBA)

This position will be responsible for sup****t and Manage enterprise
wide MS-SQL & Oracle Databases for production, development and test
environments. The Database Administrator will be responsible for
installation, configuration and upgrade of Microsoft SQL server
software and related products. S/he will be responsible for Database
Stored Procedures, Database Performance and Database Capacity issues
and Database high availability. This person will also work on
installation, configuration and upgrade of Oracle server software and
related products, and establish and maintain sound backup and recovery
policies and procedures. The Database Administrator will work with
development group for database design Data Access and Table
maintenance. S/he will implement and maintain database security
(create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges). Other
responsibilities include the sup****t of Oracle Application servers and
setup and maintenance of do***entation and standards for DBA tasks.
The DBA will be responsible for troubleshooting & Capacity Planning,
and will provide 24x7 sup****t.

Minimum Requirements :

BS Degree in computer science or related engineering field. Must have
4 years of extensive experience in managing MS-SQL databases. Must
have 2 years of experience in managing Oracle databases. Proficient in
Microsoft SQL server 2005 and 2000; Proficient in Oracle10g, Oracle 9i
and related utilities; Must have Knowledge in SQL server replication
methodologies & Oracle Standbys; Proficient in Scripting (PL/SQL or
SQL Scripting, VBS, Shell/Perl), and proficient in physical & logical
database design. Ability to perform both Database and operating system
performance tuning and monitoring; Knowledge of various hot and cold
Oracle backup and recovery scenarios; Experience in code migration,
database change management and data management through the various
stages of the development life cycle. Must have good communication
skills.
