Computer Systems Analyst IV
Summary: Responsible for system administration duties with specific
focus on network storage appliances and database management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may

essential functions of this position.
1. Responsible for managing all storage and data requirements for the
Buckeye program.
2. Provide all aspects of system administration sup****t, including
installation, configuration, and maintenance, for said Coraid
hardware, related operating system (eg. Linux, Solaris, Windows,
etc.), and software.
3. Interface with other system administrators, users, and vendors as
needed.
4. Develop and maintain efficient database structure to sup****t both
TEC and external users.
5. Develop and perform QC/QA. Follow folder/file naming conventions
and make corrections where needed.
6. Use database monitoring software (eg. SpaceObserver) to check space
usage. Produce and maintain metrics of current holdings of online raw
and finished data to monitor space usage as well as to comply with
requests on names, numbers, and sizes of the various products and
format types.
7. Estimate future production by product type and format by using past
performance modified by future collection plans.
8. Conduct backup to tape archives, etc. for data as needed.
9. Represent Buckeye in meetings, both internal and external to TEC,
concerning Buckeye data.
10. Other duties may be assigned to meet operational needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May provide specific task direction but
does not have formal supervisory responsibility.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor=92s degree in computer science or
information systems. 4 years experience in a professional computing
environment with at least 3 years experience as a system
administrator. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for
formal education.
Computers: Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory; and
the ability to remove, replace, or install network switches, servers,
and NAS devices. Computer Skills Experience with Coraid hardware
related operating system (Linux, Solaris, Windows, etc.) and
software.
