Job Description: This position provides remote testing, fault isolation,
trouble resolution, and analysis for ring networks, proactively assisting
clients with maintenance issues related to ring design, implementation,
software migration and trouble related to life cycle network management.
Specific knowledge requirements include DWDM and SONET Trans****t,
networking technologies and protocols (Accu-Ring, Ethernet/Fast Ethernet,
Gigabit Ethernet, L2 and L3 Switching VLANs, ATM, Frame Relay, FR-ATM,
Service Interworking and SNMP) and hardware (Cisco DWDM and ONS Gear (5200
and 5300), routers and switches). Experience required with installation and
maintenance of DWDM/SONET networks and direct customer interface. MSOffice
and Visio knowledge a plus. Candidate must desire to work in a fast paced
environment, work well on a team and must be detail oriented. Environment
is 24/7 operation. Possibility of ****ft work and weekends.
