Free UNIX training

by donotreplytothisaddr@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mar 17, 2007 at 04:19 PM

I am grateful to you for writing to me. Please note that to write to
me you should get my email address from my web page, this is to
minimize spam.

I have a free training program for folks to learn UNIX. It is very
easy to understand linux, once you have done the UNIX training. Linux
may be considered a subset of UNIX. If you think that other people may
benefit from this training, then, please forward them this email.

If you decide to learn UNIX, then, you may read this material.
Perhaps, a desire to learn, patience, not shy in asking questions and
hard work are more im****tant to learn UNIX.

This training does not perhaps resemble the training programs offered
by other institutions, however if you start it and ask me questions,
perhaps I will be able to help you to learn.

You can do this course at your own pace and per your own schedule. I
WILL answer all your technical questions. Please do not worry.

This course used to be in 7 emails. (that is what was sent so far).
You can download this word or pdf file which contains all the relevant
emails and information including the free account information:

http://www.geocities.com/kva****sht/FreeUNIXcourse.doc
You may also download the adobe version at:
http://www.geocities.com/kva****sht/FreeUNIXcourse.pdf

Please find quiz#1 in this file, complete it and send it to me. Quiz#1
is a good start and should not take too much of your time. Quiz#1 is
based on the reading mentioned in the file.

Please let me know if you have any problems downloading this file.

I recommend that you start with the free account and do some basic
exercises as mentioned in the instructions before installing UNIX.
Doing this will familiarize you with UNIX.

You may download Openoffice from http://www.openoffice.org
 for free
to open Microsoft word/excel etc files.

You also need this file:

http://www.geocities.com/kva****sht/Installing_FreeBSD.pdf

This file contains instructions with screenshots to help in installing
FreeBSD OVER VMware on a computer running windows. ( This file is
different from the file that was first mentioned, you must download
and read both files)

After installing FreeBSD, please read the FreeBSD handbook and
complete quiz#2 (this quiz is in the first file)

Please DO NOT hesitate to contact me if you have ANY questions. I will
help you. I can make myself available on phone and/or yahoo instant
messenger to answer your technical questions. Just get started on it!
once you start, you will begin the learning process. If you get
anything at all out of this training - it will be a very positive
accomplishment.
Please, please please, DO NOT hesitate to ask questions - even a
question that may seem a novice question, there are NO bad questions.
If you start you will learn.

Please DO NOT hesitate to request root access to my systems if you
feel that it will help you.

The success of this training depends on me and you and on our
interaction. I hope that you will not hesitate to ask me for help.

If you complete quiz#1 and read everything and let me know that you've
done so, I'll then, send you quiz#3 and give you root access to a
system to complete quiz#3.

I also request your suggestions/comments/criticism for the betterment
of this training.

Thank you. Good Luck.
