Select candidates are being sought for this unique op****tunity with an
established refinery / petrochemical related entity.
The in***bent will:
a.. Provide overall laboratory supervision.
b.. Coordinate laboratory functions with Operations, Blending,
Marketing,
etc.
c.. Establish and maintain laboratory test procedures and standards.
d.. Oversee and perform special testing (research in nature) as required
in the refinery.
e.. Review and approve laboratory test results.
f.. Perform manpower and work schedules.
g.. Train and qualify laboratory personnel.
h.. Prepare work orders as needed.
i.. Implement safety and cleanliness in the laboratory.
j.. Prepare product specifications.
k.. Prepare and update Test Re****t forms.
l.. Update products summary tables with Lab results.
m.. Perform quality control in the laboratory, PCRG and ASTM round robin
and in-house QC program.
n.. Ensure laboratory equipment and machines are operating properly and
satisfactorily.
o.. Arrange outside services as needed.
p.. Perform other tasks and duties assigned by management.
Qualified candidates will possess:
a.. Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
b.. Three to five years experience in petroleum refinery control
laboratory with supervisory background.
c.. Must be familiar with Quality Control statistics.
d.. Must be familiar with petroleum laboratory procedures, ASTM and AWWA
standards.
e.. Must be familiar with refinery water test procedures.
f.. Familiar with refinery operational processes and blending
operations.
g.. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office.
