Position Purpose Perform Network Performance Management function for the
sup****t of telecommunications networks
Key Accountabilities / Activities:
a.. Network management product development and sup****t
a.. Good knowledge of networking technology, IP, TCP, UDP, Ethernet,
router, switch and SNMP
b.. Working experience on technical sup****t of telecommunication
networks
c.. Experienced user of network management tools such as Sniffer,
WildPakcets, eHealth and NetScout
d.. Solid technical skills on Windows, UNIX and PC tools
e.. Experience in Windows Server Configuration and Database sup****t
f.. Experience in Unix Server Configuration and Sup****t
a.. Good communication and presentation skills
b.. Evaluate and recommend network management solutions
c.. Coordinate and implement new products
d.. Prepare product operations manual
e.. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions
f.. Ongoing product break fix, release upgrade and performance
enhancements
g.. Design performance management solutions to meet Telecom group
objectives
h.. Application and network performance analysis
i.. Trace network traffic using Sniffer, NetScout, InfiniStream and
Niksun
j.. Decode and interpret trace using Sniffer and WildPackets
k.. Gather metrics, summarize and present findings
l.. Provide network performance consulting services
m.. Application systems sizing, monitoring, performance tuning and
capacity planning
n.. Perform health check of networks for baseline and trends
o.. Work with architecture, application, infrastructure and technology
integration group on application development
p.. Size application bandwidth requirement based on lab testing results
and user forecast
Prepare and communicate Watch List
q.. Update web re****ts to coincide with network and application changes
Relation****ps and Communications
Communicate and build rap****t with team members, stakeholders and product
vendors
Facilitate meetings for technical design, decision making, problem solving
and task implementation
Prepare and presents to business and technology partners
Resolve conflicts, issues and escalates as appropriate
Development & Coaching
Enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspect of the organization
Provide guidance to junior staff on network monitoring solution and
project
management techniques
