Job Description:
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to
join our team of highly skilled technology professionals. The selected
candidate will assist customers in meeting their overall business
objectives through implementation using FatWire's Content Server and
potential integration of other Internet technology solutions. Duties
include, but are not limited to, facilitating clients through
requirement discovery process, prototyping and do***enting
requirements, defining the appropriate technical design, project
scope, development, and overall technical project plan. You will act
as a liaison to client IT staff, up to CIO level. You will leverage
resources over multiple projects and mentor team members in defining
the business solution.
Functions:
=95 Assist in the initial gathering of technical and functional
requirements from clients during on-site discovery phase
=95 Develop and do***ent the detailed technical design for product
solutions
=95 Provide the technical knowledge that helps to drive the direction of
the client specific solution
=95 As needed, assist System Specialist in deploying (installing)
software solution at client site
=95 Apply knowledge of the architecture and APIs of FatWire's content
management products to client specific needs
=95 Performance Tuning of management and production environments at
client locations.
=95 Implement technology solutions during client engagements.
Development work may be performed on-site in a customer environment,
off-site at the FatWire office, or remotely from home.
=95 Deliver technical training to customers
=95 Evaluate third party software involved in client specific solutions
and make recommendations
=95 Perform product and technology research and analysis to formulate
solutions to client specific requirements
=95 Assist in the development of case studies at the conclusion of an
engagement
=95 Assist in developing and executing best practices for software
solutions
=95 Act as a senior technical resource for clients and colleagues
=95 Handle strategic accounts from start to finish, and propose
additional services to customers
=95 Issue resolution, internal championing on behalf of strategic
customers
=95 Ensure client satisfaction and reference ability
=95 Mentor and assist other technical consultants
=95 Internal re****ting on project status

Requirements:
=95 Minimum 5 years of IT industry experience, at least 2 years
consulting experience in designing application architectures for the
Web/Internet.
=95 Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field (Masters
Degree a plus)
=95 At least 3 years experience implementing software using Java, J2EE
technologies (JSP, Servlets, Beans, JDBC), XML.
=95 Experience with do***entation of formal functional and technical
design specifications
=95 Experience with Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere, or SunOne Application
Servers is desirable.
=95 Demonstrated experience in object-oriented software design including
the modeling of object hierarchies, behaviors, class structures and
methods.
=95 Experience with XML
=95 Experience developing solutions for, or interfaces to, do***ent and
content management systems such as Do***entum, Vignette, FileNET, and
Interwoven, is a plus.
=95 Experience with database systems and platforms such as Oracle and
Microsoft SQL Server is desirable.
=95 Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
=95 Ability to work independently yet sup****t team responsibilities on
an on-going basis
=95 50-80% travel required
