A fixed income trading company near Santa Barbara needs a Senior SQL
Server Database Administrator with experience in the financial
services industry.
Under the general direction of the Head of Technology, you will be
responsible for SQL Server database administration and data management
in a client-server environment. This includes maintaining meta-data as
well as defining, creating, implementing, and maintaining enterprise
data models. You will develop and monitor policies, procedures, and
standards related to database management to ensure the department
meets data recovery, integrity, and space requirements.
Responsibilities:
o. Manages and maintains cor****ate-wide database administration and
data management
o. Reviews, evaluates, designs, and implements strategies for data
acquisitions from numerous file layouts and media forms into a single,
comprehensive SQL Server database
o. Creates data extracts and develops re****ts
o. Develops and manages database load routines to match diverse file
layouts and ensures accuracy of data
o. Implements and maintains policies, procedures, and standards to
ensure security and integrity of test and production data
o. Do***ents procedures and data exchange by creating data flow
diagrams
o. Evaluates and recommends DBA tools
o. Leads complex projects and ensures adherence to Cor****ate
Technology Project Standard Practices
o. Performs on-call duties, system implementations, and upgrades that
may occur after normal business hours and weekends as required to
minimize business impact
Requirements:
o. 7+ years experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration
(Required)
o. 2+ years experience in the Financial Services Industry (Fixed
Income experience a major plus)
o. 2+ years experience integrating financial market data such as
Bloomberg, YieldBook, etc. (Required)
