Job Description
Use .NET framework experience sup****t software development
activities.
Sup****t web based application development and maintenance efforts
using SQL.
Conduct client interviews/discussions to gather and do***ent
requirements to sup****t Marine Corps applications such as the
Enterprise Operational Directive Compliance Re****ting web
application.
Create system design specifications.
Establish and potentially prototype application architectures.
Code, test, tune, debug and implement newly developed applications.
Sup****t post deployment software sup****t activities to properly
maintain application systems.
Sup****t planning for the establishment and implementation of new
software.
Sup****t account management activities in sup****t of web based
applications.
Prepare and read email to communicate task progress, establish
requirements and otherwise sup****t communication between you, the
client and the client=92s customer.
Provide system administration for web based applications to include
Microsoft SharePoint and underlying services such as Microsoft SQL
Server.
Sup****t log file analysis and take action to reduce errors and
otherwise improve system performance and availability.
Sup****t the client=92s migration to virtualized infrastructure by
building clusters, images and making configurations to permit web
based applications to reside within a virtualized infrastructure.
Provide instruction to information managers to sup****t the use of web
based tools.
Provide telephone sup****t to Marine Corps units requesting information
for web site deployments similar in function to that of the MCNOSC.
As required, replace failed computer hardware to re-build and
reconfigure the system.
Required Skills
At least 3 years of .NET Development experience (C# prefered)
Experience and fundamental understanding of the.NET Framework
including C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, web services, data structures and
collections, caching, configuration, etc.
Microsoft Sharepoint ****tal Server and/or Microsoft Office Sharepoint
Server (Sharepoint v2 and/or v3) administration Microsoft Content
Management server administration and development experience Knowledge
in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design
Knowledge and understanding of XML, X/HTML and CSS Web development
experience on Microsoft IIS web servers IIS 6 administration Excellent
written and verbal communication skills in English Strong
do***entation skills Experience gathering and analyzing requirements
Ability to work in a group or independently.
