Description: Provide technical, hardware platform sup****t to Sales and
Sales Sup****t teams to address customers/prospects hardware requirements.
This position is also responsible for setting the direction for hardware
platform acquisitions in North America centers, ensuring that future
hardware investments align with customers technology plans and future
Sales op****tunities.
Provide technical, platform-specific sup****t to Sales and Sales Sup****t
teams to ensure all technology configuration requirements for customers
system solutions can be sup****ted and/or integrated in a facility
Interact with customers in presentations, data gathering, and analysis
activities related to hardware technology requirements
Develop competitive pre-Sales price quotes for new system configurations
and platform-specific devices needed for customer solutions
Maintain a strong working relation****p with Sales and Sales Sup****t
teams
Develop and manage technology-related reference do***entation for use on
internal platform sup****t ****tal and for use in technical training sessions
Conduct ongoing hardware technology sessions with internal teams to
discuss technology trends, new system architectures, and future acquisition
plans & direction
Identify and understand platform technology growth and migration plans
associated with major customer-base and generate technology investment
forecasts that align with aggregate plans
Execute technology acquisition requests within platform capital budget
guidelines and timeframes, providing business case justifications to
sup****t hardware investments
Continually build knowledge and proficiency in platform technology areas
Must be able to travel up to 30% as business needs dictate
Degree in Information Technology or related technical field strongly
preferred.
Min 5 years of relevant technical sup****t and technology experience
Strong Project Management skills and leader****p skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the
confidence and respect of internal and external customers
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to focus skills toward
solution driven results
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Strong technical understanding of AS/400, RS/6000, Sun hardware
platforms and associated operating systems preferred
Technical understanding of Intel/AMD, HP RISC hardware platforms and
associated operating systems would be considered
Applicable certifications preferred but not required
Proficiency in Windows based business application software
