Job Title: AS/400 Software Developer
Purpose of the job: To develop, test and debug solutions using the
approved platforms, languages and tools. The developer works closely with
professional and managerial personnel to assure the
software implemented satisfies stated requirements.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
·Receive assignment and direction from manager.
·Design, develop, test, sup****t, maintain, and do***ent iSeries
Applications, using best practices.
·Design, develop, test, sup****t, maintain, and do***ent iSeries interfaces
with other platforms and interfaces, using best practices.
·Do***ent job assignment via the IT/Systems Application Database,
including time spent per assignment.
·Do***ent all applications or processes in a central repository defined by
the management.
·Work with other team members to develop, do***ent, and implement
processes correcting deficiencies, improving reliability or increasing
efficiency.
·Participate in planning and implementation of iSeries integration with
other systems or applications.
·Assist in problem analysis and resolve issues related to iSeries
Applications and interfaces.
·Participate as an active member of the programming team as well as an
active member of joint teams, as prescribed by projects and manager.
·Submit status re****ts to the manager weekly on prescribed day.
·Follow strict SOX guidelines and procedures.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
·Assist in requirements gathering when directed by manager.
·Assist in writing scope do***ents, status re****ts and technical diagrams
when directed by manager.
·Provide trouble-shooting skills when application related problems are
encountered.
·Provide details to manager when errors are encountered on systems that
significantly impact end users; major business function; or have ongoing
issues.
·Work in conjunction with other team members to troubleshoot and maintain
applications.
