RESPONSIBILITIES
**Designing, developing and implementing highest-quality software
application solutions for internal and external business users
**Working in a matrix organization along side web developers, architects,
and other cross-skilled project team members
**Performing analysis, design and programming exclusively on the i5
**Develop solutions that add or enhance current functionality in JDA
Merchandise Mgmt. System (MMS) and Order Management (SODA) 4R5 version or
newer
**Build online applications, complex integrations, batch processing, and
back-end databases using primarily CL, a variety of RPG versions, and XML
**Properly do***ent technical solutions, programming code, and project
details according to development standards
**Write and execute unit test, regression test, and debug programs as
assigned
REQUIREMENTS
**Bachelor's degree in an accredited four-year college or university,
ideally majoring in Computer Science
**At least 8 years programming in RPG III and IV, ILE, XML, and CL and
functioning at a Senior Programmer/Analyst level
**Demonstrated experience working with FTP, sub-file processing, stored
procedures, database triggers, linking/binding in ILE, Sequel, Query, and
embedded SQL
**Knowledge in Aldon Change Management or similar package
**Sound working knowledge of iSeries communications between multiple
platforms
**Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
interact professionally with a diverse group of business/IT users and
sup****t staff
**Ability to work both well independently and as a part of a team
**Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem solving
skills; demonstrated ability to interpret existing programs and trouble
shoot
**Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts
**Experience in both developing new systems and maintaining existing
systems
**Strong critical thinking and risk management skills
Desired experience includes:
**Designing and implementing JDA MMS and SODA is a plus but not required
**Experience in a retail systems environment
**IBM**s Business Integration Server or other ETL equivalent application
experience
**CA AutoSys integration experience
**EDI experience in integrating packaged software solutions with i5 Web
services integration to/from i5
**Experience with Web Sphere and/or Java is a plus
**Experience in trans****tation, logistics or warehouse mgmt. systems is a
plus
