Test Engineer
Job Description
Looking for a Software Test Engineer. The candidate will be
responsible for: Developing a Test Plan; Developing test procedures;
updating test procedures for each release; setting up a test
environment; Acquiring test data necessary execute test procedures;
running system test procedures to test system functionality; Running
test procedures that will verify specific release changes/
enhancements; Running stability tests; Generating test re****ts
following testing for each release; Coordinating and facilitating Test
Readiness Reviews (TRRs); Coordinating and facilitating Final Test
Reviews (FTRs); Interfacing with the developers and CM for test
problem resolution; Performing end-to-end metadata evaluation;
Sup****ting demos, as requested; Performing requirements verification;
Develop and Maintain Test Scripts; Coordinate with Software Partners
and interfaces. Candidate will be required to prepare and deliver
software releases as scheduled. Candidate should have work hour
flexibility during test cycles. Candidate will be expected to work
with developers to understand software development objectives as test
procedures are being developed.
Required Skills Bachelors Degree in an associated discipline and a
minimum of 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination
of education and training that provides the required knowledge,
skills, and abilities. Five or more years of test experience including
writing test plans, writing test procedures, and executing test
procedure; At least two years experience working in a UNIX (Solaris/
Linux) environment; At least two years experience working in a MS
Windows environment; Experience coordinating and facilitating TRRS and
FTRs; Good people skills; work well with customers and a team of
developers; Experience writing UNIX shell scripts; Understanding of
XML formatting. Familiarity with CCDF/CCDM; Experience with ClearCase;
Experience writing DOS Batch Scripts; Experience writing Perl.
