SOFTWARE Engineer
As a SOFTWARE Engineer you will be coding in C and 68000 to run our
filament winding machines and fiber placement machines.
* Generate fiber placement tables for simple flat panels. * Train and
assist production in the use of our designed filament winding and
fiber placement machines. * Generate written do***ents including
General Operating Procedures, operator manuals, training manuals, etc.
* Perform testing to determine accuracy and other performance
parameters of filament winding and fiber placement machines. * Use
understanding of fiber placement process and equipment to improve
fiber placement speed and quality. * Assist in the design, fabrication
and programming of new composite related equipment. * Accountable for
maintaining cost and schedule on assigned projects to sup****t
Operation need dates. * Provide weekly updates on status of projects.
Basic Requirements:
* Proficient in C and 68000 assembly language programming. * Strong
background in control systems design and programming. * Understanding
of basic electronics and circuit design principles. * An understanding
of motors, motor controllers and drive systems (screws, rack and
pinions, gear boxes, etc.) * Familiar with Unix/Linux type operating
systems, commands and tools. * Strong understanding of and ability to
perform calculations in basic physics. * Ability to learn new
programming languages/operating systems and programmable equipment. *
Possess knowledge of composite manufacturing equipment such as winding
machines, fiber placement machines, etc. * Must have good oral and
written skills. * Posses knowledge and ability to trouble shoot system
failures. * Ability to prepare sound presentations and conduct
meetings with the senior staff. * Proficient in Word, Excel, MS
Project and PowerPoint.
