Candidate needs to be in the Atlanta area..
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $ 50 ph
The Software Engineer is responsible for performing both development
and quality assurance duties throughout the SAS data and re****ting
project lifecycle. This position requires a self-motivated individual
with 3 plus years of Development experience in a SAS data and
re****ting environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited
to, working closely with Business Analysts and to develop, test and
maintain SAS BI re****ts. Excellent communication skills are required,
as well as the ability to work as a member of a project team in a fast-
paced environment.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Review project do***entation for all assigned projects to ensure that
the project requirements are clearly defined
Develop re****ts and test cases based on business requirements
Re****t defects and escalate issues as needed
Contribute to the project success in a team environment while
simultaneously completing individual tasks and goals
Share knowledge by effectively do***enting work
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned
application(s), functional area(s) or project(s)
Communicate effectively to the team throughout the development
process
Troubleshoot new builds and post production issues
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
3-5 years QA and/or Development experience focusing on data and re****t
validation using SAS
Understanding of general business processes and operating metrics.
Candidates with business experience are preferred
Demonstrated experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating
one's own work, and ability to multi-task successfully
Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
(either independently or within a team setting)
Minimum of 2 years working in a UNIX environment
Must have Full Life Cycle development experience
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to contribute in a team environment
Must have working knowledge of MS Office suite - specifically, Word
and Excel
Experience with business sup****t software applications such as MS
Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio) required
Knowledge of do***entation reviews and requirement analysis
Must be detail-oriented
