Database Administrator II
Job Description
* Provide DBA services to internal and external clients in UNIX and
Linux environments * Designs, implements and maintains complex
functions of database system including SQL, OS commands * Build new
databases from scripts and im****ts; refresh existing databases *
Assists in all database functions including access, allocations,
validity checks, security, do***entation and statistical methodology *
Assists in the integration of various systems through the database
system * Conducts backup, recovery and query tuning
Required Skills
* Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information
Technology or equivalent experience * Minimum of three years of
experience working with Oracle, SQLServer with at least two years of
experience as a database administrator * Understands advanced database
concepts and the business aspects of technical problems * Strong
analytical and troubleshooting skills * Ability to work independently
on multiple tasks * Strong communication and technical skills *
Knowledge of relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL),
and UNIX or Linux operation system * Knowledge of programming or
scripting language (Korn shell, JAVA, PL/SQL, Perl) * Experience as
relational database application developer desired
