Oracle DBA
Primary Responsibilities
* Install and configure Oracle database environments * Perform
database tuning and administrative functions for production and data
warehousing environments * Establish and maintain sound backup and
recovery policies and procedures * Plan growth and changes (capacity
planning) * Must be able to backup and recover an Oracle database in a
variety of configurations (disk or tape archives, rman or cold
backups)
Job Qualifications
* The preferred candidate will have the following: 1. Bachelor degree
in Computer Science/related discipline/technical training equivalent
or the equivalent in education and work experience 2. Must be highly
motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative 3. Knowledge of
data warehousing * Minimum 5 ? 10 years experience; must have at least
2 years experience as an Oracle DBA * Must have an in-depth knowledge
of Oracle, Linux, PL/SQL, and shell scripting * Must have strong PL/
SQL skills and database management experience * Familiarity with Perl
and Java * Experience with web application development * Solid
communication skills
