DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities: The Database Administrator is responsible for
implementing and managing MS/SQL and Oracle environments. Creates and
maintains databases as well as installs, maintains, and troubleshoots
database software. Responsible for physical database design, DDL
creation and maintenance, stored procedures design, development, and
maintenance, backup recovery and archiving, system monitoring and
tuning, and production sup****t and problem resolution. Develops and
do***ents database management policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
from an accredited college or university is required. Experience may
be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year
basis. Three years experience as a DBA with SQL Server and Oracle is
required. Experience must include at least one year working with
Oracle, RMAN, and PL/SQL. Must possess strong SQL programming skills.
Must have experience in creating and maintaining multiple instances on
a single server and have experience in sup****ting multiple software
applications (OLTP) and data warehouses. Experience reviewing and
testing application software and making suggestions for improvements
for new developments is preferred. Experience with Discoverer, 9iAS,
and 10G is preferred. Must be a proven team member who can also work
independently. A valid driver's license is required.
