Rapidly growing, publisher, developer and distributor of innovative,
high quality, casual games for mass market consumers.
Seeking a dynamic and talented creative leader with experience managing
a team of top-notch game designers/developers. The selected candidate
will have demonstrated an ability to lead the design of numerous
projects simultaneously collaborating with multi-talented,
multi-functional teams of game programmers and web developers and to
lead and build consensus on challenging creative issues.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all of the
creative game designs and designers within the company and take on the
responsibility as functional manager within a game development matrix
structure.
Responsibilities:
=B7 Totally responsible for the quality and timeliness of all creative
design tasks within the company
=B7 Ensure that products are designed and developed to meet product
roadmap, expected high quality and performance standards
=B7 Maintain and keep current, industry knowledge of competitive games,
successful genres, popular 'fun' mechanics
=B7 Aware of consumer demographics, psychographics within Casual Game
Market
=B7 Capable of critiquing work in a positive way
=B7 Able to identify franchise and brand extension op****tunities
=B7 Capable of communicating complex game designs to a wide and varied
audience
=B7 Drive the planning and execution of all creative game design tasks
for web development, games development and online community development
=B7 Work with other functional managers within the management matrix to
ensure timely delivery of games
=B7 Ensure that the executive team is aware of the direction and
priorities of the design team
=B7 Mentor, train and grow the team of designers
=B7 Hiring additional designers in line with company growth
=B7 Re****ts to the Head of the Game Studio
Qualifications:
=B7 A high level of creativity with extensive knowledge of the Casual
Game Industry
=B7 10+ years of experience in game design. Preferably including Web or
Online Game Development
=B7 A complete understanding and extensive experience in the planning,
production and development of Games
=B7 Experience managing the design of multiple projects in development,
e=2Eg. installation or maintenance of large-scale web-based applications
and single and multi-player downloadable games
=B7 Must be able to prioritize tasks and assign resources effectively
=B7 Project management, process management, and strong creative problem
solving skills
=B7 Able to fit in well within an informal environment and to provide
hands-on management
=B7 Extensive breadth and depth of knowledge in game design
=B7 Excellent organizational skills
=B7 Must possess high level of enthusiasm and be a strong team player
=B7 Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
=B7 Demonstrated ability to attract and retain top talent
