Job Title: Developer Relations and Licensing
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Rapidly growing, publisher, developer and distributor of innovative,
high quality, casual games for mass market consumers.
Position Summary
This is an im****tant position focused on developer relations, content
acquisition, and in-bound licensing to grow worldwide publi****ng
business. Expand strong reputation in the development community,
partner with game developers, license AAA games, and acquire brand
licenses. Increase market share of top selling mass market casual
games on new and existing platforms including PC, handheld, console,
and mobile.
Responsibilities
=B7 Pursue relation****ps with developers and licensors to secure mass
market brands and casual games for worldwide publi****ng and
distribution on the following platforms:
1=2E PC - online digital download and retail box products
2=2E Consoles - Nintendo's Wii & Virtual Console, Sony's PS3 and
EDI, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Live Arcade
3=2E Handheld - Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Multimedia devices (iPod, MP3
players, etc.)
4=2E Alternative Platforms and Channels
5=2E Mobile
=B7 Manage all aspects of developer relations. Be the company's
ambassador to the game development community. Create and maintain
strong relation****ps with top development executives and promote as the
best publisher for their games.
=B7 Drive and own activities for securing content. Proactively
prospect, qualify, present, submit proposals, negotiate, close and
transition signed developers to the Game Studio. Hit quarterly goals
and targets.
=B7 Provide strategic input on which games, platforms, and licenses are
suitable for publi****ng business. Provide market intelligence on
competitors' activities and recommendations on how to create and
maintain the strongest game ****tfolio in the industry.
=B7 Manage activities in CRM database to manage developer inquiries and
op****tunities.
=B7 Represent at industry conferences, events, and meetings in
professional manner
=B7 Own and manage Developers Connected web site.
=B7 30-40% travel required plus attendance at 3-4 industry events per
year.
Qualifications
=B7 The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas in
order or priority:
=B7 A minimum of 3 years experience in developer relations, licensing,
business development, or as a producer that has successfully ****pped
product.
=B7 Experience with a traditional game publisher such as Electronic
Arts, Activision, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Ubisoft, or a game
technology company such as ATI, NVIDIA, Creative Labs, Logitech, Intel,
etc.
=B7 Comprehension and experience with top selling mass market games,
casual games, trends, genres, and the key factors in developing AAA
games.
=B7 Cross platform experience (PC, Console, Handheld, Mobile, etc.).
=B7 Strong Rolodex with mass market or casual games experience.
=B7 Must possess refined communication, persuasion and presentation
skills. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
