Senior dotNET/J2EE Applications Developer Contract to Perm RI - Providence

Our client is looking for a senior developer capable of working with
business customers to understand functional requirements and translate
them into technical requirements and designs.
You must have a deep understanding of either dotNET or J2EE technologies
with enough familiarity with both to be able to quickly ramp up and be
productive, and will have extensive experience designing and developing
end-user web-based applications, integrating various off-the-shelf
technologies together, and testing end-to-end integrated solutions before
deploying to end users.
You must be able to work within a hands-off management environment,
meaning
must have good, consistent communication skills that preclude the need for
constant oversight.
Work with Technical Architect/Team Lead to produce Detailed Design
Research,
define, present and recommend software designs and/or alternative
strategies.
Work with Business Analyst in determining customer requirements and
assists
team in providing customer solutions.
Integrate Enterprise Project ****tfolio Management technologies (e.g. MS
Project Server 2003) with Enterprise Business Systems (e.g. SAP, Caliber,
DOORS, JIRA, Do***entum)
Enhance enterprise technologies to meet business-specific Provide weekly
status re****ts to Product Manager and/or Technical Lead.
Requires Extensive experience integrating and enhancing 3rd-party products
to meet internal business needs
Deep dotNET or J2EE required (depth in both is ideal; dotNET is preferred)
Developer-level familiarity with both dotNET and J2EE needed
MS Project and Project Server 2002/2003
Desired Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP, from an integration and
end-user perspective desired
SQL Server knowledge and experience required
Experience with WebServices, BAPI, EJB, COM+ and other distributed
component
and integration technologies Experience with open source technologies
