Ontario, Canada, is looking for another experienced ASIC Design Engineer
to
join our growing design team. The detailed job description is given below.
ASIC Design Engineer
ASIC Design Engineer will be required to research, design and develop
state
of the art VDSL integrated circuit (IC) in sub-micron CMOS/BiCMOS
technologies. He/she will perform characterization of the silicon to
verify
functionality, debug problems found in silicon and fix the problems.
He/she
will work on discrete board level implementation of circuits to verify
circuit performance and/or to test/debug performance of various blocks
when
used in overall system.
Responsibilities:
· Drive functional and performance specifications
· Implement design flow and methodology
· Drive product through debugging, qualification to release
Requirements:
· Master in Computer or Electrical Engineering
· 2 years digital ASIC design experience
· Strong Verilog RTL coding, simulation and debug experience
· Experience with FFT, FEC, digital modulation and demodulation, and
communication systems in general
· Familiarity with design and simulation tools, such as those from
Cadence,
Synopsys and Mentor Graphics
· Knowledge in design for test, reliability and manufacturability
· Ability to build broad-band & IF sub-systems
