As part of the Mobile Systems team the key responsibility of
this role is the ongoing development of my clients mobile
software products.
The mobile software forms the most critical part of their
Mobile Workflow solution and must be produced to the very
high standards which they and their customers expect.
Any prospective candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to
design,
implement and test changes to software products, whilst maintaining a high
level of quality.
All of my clients product development is done in a team environment,
hence any candidate must have very good communication skills
and be a pro-active team player.
Skills Required
Any prospective candidate must posses and be able to demonstrate
the following skills.
High level of competence in C programming (not just C++), with
experience of developing GUI applications.
Must be very competent with Microsoft Visual C++ and have very good
knowledge of the Win32 native API's.
Must have high working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows CE
operating systems, including application development, installation,
and debugging.
Good level of experience with testing methodologies including the
creation of test do***entation and the implementation of thorough
test plans
Desired Skills
The following skills are desirable.
Good level of experience with 'sockets' programming under Windows and
general IP networking technologies,
Experience working with GPRS enabled PDA's running Windows Mobile,
especially the use of TAPI to control GPRS / GSM hardware.
Good understanding of development in a multi - process, and multi-threaded
environment.
Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Operating
systems, and also experience with Microsoft Office products.
Personal Skills
Strong self discipline and motivation, be able to work well under
pressure and to a given deadline whilst still maintaining a very
high level of quality.
Outgoing personality and the capability to communicate on an individual
basis as well as in a team environment.
High level of commitment.
