Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for architecting and
developing tools, methodologies and techniques for measurement and/or
analysis of Digital Home usage models. Your responsibilities will
include but not be limited to:
- Working with teams at Intel to develop and implement usage models
- Developing automated suite of performance measurement tools and/or
workloads
- Analyzing and tuning platforms for optimal performance, acoustic
characteristics, space constraints, and others
Other Job Description: Software Engineers conduct or participate in
multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers
and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of
electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user
needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect
software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and
input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and
assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to
customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops
solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
Qualifications:
You must possess a relevant educational qualification. Additional
qualifications include:
- Understanding and hands on experience with development of audio and/or
video and/or gaming stacks
- Understanding of computer architecture and performance
- Good Windows* systems programming, C, C++ and/or C# and/or .NET* skills
- Excellent communication skills (ability to articulate and influence)
- Working knowledge of hardware monitoring tools would be an added
advantage
