Verticalmove is working with a well known private, but profitable,
security/encryption company located in Palo Alto. Our customer base
represents over 30,000 cor****ations, including 90% of the Fortune 100,
74% of the Forbes International 100 and 90% of the Fortune Top 10
Commercial Banks. Their products are also used by thousands of
individuals and cryptography experts to secure proprietary and
confidential information.
We are looking for a Director / Architect to lead a senior development
team in the design and development of a new enterprise class security
product. You will own this product from scratch, responsible for
defining the product architecture/spec, recruiting/building the team,
and delivering a one of a kind product. This position will involve
approximately 75% architecture/design/management and 25% development,
depending on the candidate. Candidate should have proven success
leading a close-knit, distributed team of Senior Software Engineers
from product concept to production. Additionally, experience in
architecting an enterprise-class server product.
Director of Engineering/Architect
Requirements:
- Expertise with Windows domains and Unix networking. Mac OS X desired.
- Expertise with file servers and distributed file systems such as
CIFS/SMB, NFS and/or AFS. Understanding oflocal file systems such as
NTFS, FAT, HFS+, ReiserFS.
- Experience with drivers and kernel-level code on Win32 or Linux.
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of operating-system security concepts such as mandatory
access controls, TCBs, NS role separation as well as cryptography
- Familiar with FIPS validation, Common Criteria and BITS certification
- Experience with PGP and other security products
- Understanding of OpenPGP, OpenSSL, OpenSSH and other IETF security
protocols
- Familiarity with SMTP, POP, IMAP, and other email protocols and APIs
