SQA Engineer Alpharetta, Ga. 12+m
The qualified candidate must be able to develop test plans, do***ents,
and testware to be used during testing on the performance management
tools.
Perform black box testing on performance management tools as necessary;
includes unit testing, regression testing, final release testing.
Maintain a testing environment for the tools Manage and maintain all
testing
do***ents and other testware, as required. Work closely with developers,
RF & performance engineers and other SQA engineers during all project
phases.
Log and regress software defects and enhancements.
Use and maintain Remedy defect and enhancement tracking database; produce
management re****ts from this database. Do***ent policies and procedures
Environment (Plat., O/S, Lang., DB, Apps, & Tools):
Required Experience:
3-6 years previous experience with Software Quality Assurance required
BS/BA in Computer Science, Communications, Engineering or equivalent
experience is required
Strong experience with MS Excel a plus
Must have experience with UNIX computer operating system
Experience in writing csh and perl scripts is desired
Knowledge of Oracle 8.x RDBMS and tools a plus or another relational
database
Excellent communications and analytical skills
1 + years telecommunications knowledge preferred
Some telephony experience preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Strong analytical abilities
Excellent team, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Must be comfortable as a self-starter in a dynamic technical environment.
Some experience with writing technical do***entation a plus.
Project work:
Using established SQA processes, design and create test plans, scenarios
and
test cases for testing the clients performance management tools. Assist
developers by performing unit tests on new functionality before it is
submitted for code review and incor****ation to the main line code.
Execute these tests, do***ent results and create any other testing related
sup****ting do***entation.
Client uses a mixture of purchased and in-house developed system to do
performance management of wireless data services. These tools are used by
client RF and Performance engineers around the country to monitor and
optimize the voice and data cellular networks.
