Job Description: Senior Level Network Engineer.CCNP or higher.must
be
able to communicate to Senior Level Company Executives. 6 months+,
Wilmington, DE location.
..MUST BE ARCHITECT LEVEL..WILL INTERVIEW ASAP
Manage the design and implementation processes within our WAN
Connectivity
project. This project entails connecting approximately 12 sites to the
cor****ate WAN. The precursors to connecting include a security
*****sment
(performed in concert with the client's IT Security team) of the
current
network topography and security infrastructure, a plan to remediate
any
shortcomings, and liaison with General Services in ordering the
telecommunications links and management services, and any 3rd party
monitoring services (eg., Symantic). In some scenarios, the ideal
solution
may require collaboration with other cor****ate affiliates.
The specific responsibilities for the Infrastructure Architect will
include:
Design a Master Plan for connectivity that addresses bandwidth needs,
email,
internet browsing, and access by external parties (Agencies, Brokers,
TPA's,
etc.)
Develop criteria for exception handling to the Master Plan
Develop detailed, actionable project plans, timelines and costs for
each
site
Work with management to identify specific resources for all key tasks
Chair weekly status calls with project participants.
Do***ent and circulate minutes with an updated project plan
Discuss / debate / resolve challenges and alternatives posed by field
staff
Elevate all problems (missed deliverables, poor participation in the
field,
etc.) to management
Provide vendor management function to coordinate activities across
numerous
entities involved
Skills / experience required:
Experience in network architecture and design, MPLS connectivity
Experience in a diverse, multi-region, cross-functional environment
with
matrix re****ting relation****ps
Experience with intranet/internet/extranet security, intrusion
detection/prevention and firewalls
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Ability to multi task and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Negotiation and vendor management skills
Travel to Europe required. The individual will manage the design
